Farhan Akhtar recently publicised the trailer of his upcoming movie ‘Lucknow Central’. The trailer has intrigued the audience who are now looking forward to seeing the full movie which is due for release this September 15.
Although the exact story of the movie is still to be uncovered it definitely is a thriller and has an interesting plot. The story revolves around a small town boy Kishen who visions of making it big in the world of music by making his own band. A sudden twist is seen when Kishen is suddenly arrested by the police for murder and he lands up in Lucknow Central Jail. He experiences the tough jail life but soon makes friends and when he gets the offer to make a band in the jail, Kishen plans to escape from the jail with his friends while showing he is preparing for the band. However, Kishen has to choose between his dreams and freedom.
The movie is inspired by true events and has been created under the direction of Ranjit Tiwari. Lucknow Central is Ranjit Tiwari’s first direction. The film has been produced by Nikhil Advani under Emmay Entertainment’s banner.
Other leading actors of the movie are Dianna Penty who plays the role of a NGO worker, Ronit Roy who is seen playing the role of a stern police officer, Deepak Dobriyal, Gippy Grewal, Inaamulhaq and Rajesh Sharma.
The movie was already the talk of tinsel town when Farhan Akhtar had shared the poster of the movie’s first look on Twitter a week before the release of the trailer.
Farhan Akhtar’s journey in the Bollywood industry began in 1991 when he worked as an assistant director in the movie ‘Lamhe’ soon after followed ‘Himalay Putra’ in 1997. He is a multi-talented and besides just being an actor is also a screenwriter, director, playback singer, producer, TV host and lyricist. He also made it to Bollywood as a lyricist when he wrote the lyrics for the famous movie ‘Bride and Prejudice’ in 2004. He was not seen as an actor until the year 2008 in the movie ‘Rock On!!’. Farhan Akhtar also had another movie in his bucket ‘Fakir of Venice’. The movie was supposed to be a debut for Farhan Akhtar. However, the project kept delaying and ‘Rock On!!’ happened before it.
